Field Report

April 21st, 2021- Full Bloom

NOTE: Tulips are an agricultural crop and therefore subject to weather, growing conditions and blooming variables. We cannot guarantee that the tulips will bloom on a particular date, so prepare to be flexible by 7 to10 days in your visit. This is an outdoor event in an agricultural field with uneven walking surfaces.

It has been a great 37th Annual Tulip Festival, and we are happy to welcome you back! Our festival dates are March 19th to May 2nd. We are without words with how honored we are to open our doors safely to the community and beyond. Thank you for the love and support over the last year. We couldn’t be here without you all and we can’t wait to see you this season!

Our tickets are offered online only for 2021 and are available here. https://woodenshoetulipfarm.ticketspice.com/wooden-shoe-tulip-festival For those who purchased tickets in 2020, those will be honored in 2021.

Our field looks amazing as you can see below. We are proud to say we have never seen a better field and we are hoping things continue to bloom nicely. We are currently at FULL BLOOM, so it is exciting to see lots of color around the farm. Keep in mind that while one of our fields is past full bloom, the other field is nearly at full bloom, so there will be color to see through the end of the fest!

This year we have two 20 acre fields so there is be plenty of room to spread out.  As the crow flies from the corner of one field to the back corner of the other is over half a mile.  If you walk it, it’s closer to 3/4 of a mile. Our tulip fields total 40 acres with almost that much more area to walk and explore. (For those that are curious, an acre is about the size of a football field.  40 acres equals around 25 Portland city blocks).
