“Enjoy the little things for one day, you may look back and realize
they were the big things.”
— Robert Boult
We look at 2009 as a year to focus on the real riches in life; our friends, family,
health and the opportunity to live in one of the most beautiful areas in the
world. This year will be a year to create memories and spend more time with
those we love. As we have gotten older, we find that we don’t remember days,
we remember moments. And for us, those moments are a welcome reprieve
from the worries of the day. Whether by visiting our farm, creating a garden
or playing a new game with your family, take the time to create great memories
this year.
As a family farm, our connection is with the land. We often make decisions not
based on today’s profit, but how to position the farm for the future. Our goal is
to pass the land to future generations as healthy and productive as possible.
This was part of the reason we worked this past year to receive our VeriFlora
certification. Veriflora is the most rigorous sustainability program in the
marketplace. For us, this was one more way to review what we do and why.
