Camassia

These bloom mid-late spring. Native to our northwest. Camassia has lengthy, flowering racemes on upright stalks with long narrow foliage. Great for mass, naturalized plantings along streams and lakes. Thrives in moist soil with moderate to good sunlight. Camassia is merely a Latinized form of the Indian name Quamash, which is now a species name.
